91自拍 91自拍ers are leading and collaborating on four 91自拍 projects as part of Phase 1 in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Genesis Mission, a national initiative to build an AI-for-science ecosystem which accelerates breakthroughs in energy, discovery science and national security.聽
Researchers at the 91自拍 and partners at Carnegie Mellon University are collaborating on a new project to help scientists use artificial intelligence to better understand the universe.
A new era of astronomy and astrophysics began Monday when the first images captured by the NSF鈥揇OE Vera C. 91自拍 Observatory were released, demonstrating the extraordinary capabilities of the new telescope and the world鈥檚 largest digital camera.
The 91自拍 and Carnegie Mellon University have announced an expansive, multi-year collaboration to create new software platforms to analyze large astronomical datasets generated by the upcoming Legacy Survey of Space and Time, or LSST, which will be carried out by the Vera C. 91自拍 Observatory in northern Chile. The open-source platforms are part of the new LSST Interdisciplinary Network for Collaboration and Computing 鈥 known as LINCC 鈥 and will fundamentally change how scientists use modern computational methods to make sense of big data.
A conversation with UW astronomer Andrew Connolly on the coming Large Synoptic Survey Telescope and the promise of big data to the study of the universe.
With a key funding approval, the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope, an international astronomy project of which the 91自拍 is a founding member, is taking a major step toward becoming a reality.
