Next steps

With the strategic framework in place, the 91ΧΤΕΔ moves boldly from vision to action. Over the spring and summer of 2026, we will translate our priorities into clear and actionable pathways that are anchored by shared goals, meaningful metrics, strong governance and disciplined implementation structures.

The following timeline reflects how the work will unfold, moving from goal‑setting and design to coordinated implementation and ongoing engagement.

Working groups

President Jones and Provost Serio have charged four working groups with completing the UW’s new strategic plan during summer 2026. Each working group is responsible for the following activities:

  • Reviewing the strategic plan framework
  • Reflecting on constituent input gathered through the September 2025 tri-campus survey, autumn 2025 and winter quarter 2026 listening sessions and the spring quarter 2026 open feedback period
  • Drafting, refining and recommending a set of goals, actions and success measures for each pillar
  • Drafting, refining and recommending a set of execution and governance considerations for each pillar
